Agilent Torr Seal - Low Outgassing Vacuum Epoxy Sealant for Laboratory Instrument, Vacuum System And Analytical Equipment Industry

Agilent Torr Seal is a two-part low-vapor-pressure epoxy sealant for ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems, bonding metal, ceramic and glass with minimal outgassing.
PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION

A solvent-free epoxy resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B) system that cures to a hard, rigid solid with extremely low outgassing . It operates from -45°C to 120°C, bonds dissimilar materials, and provides excellent electrical insulation (350 V/mil). cures in 24h at 25°C or 2h at 60°C.

Key features

  • Ultra-Low Outgassing – Stable at 10⁻⁹ Torr; minimal contamination in UHV systems.

  • High-Strength Bonding – Rigid bonds for metal, ceramic, glass and dissimilar substrates.

  • Wide Operating Temperature – From -45°C (cryogenic) to 120°C (bakeable).

  • Excellent Dielectric Strength – 350 V/mil; insulates electrical components in vacuum.

  • Solvent-Free, Non-Toxic – No VOCs; safe for analytical and laboratory environments.

Application
  • Ultra-High Vacuum Systems – Seals leaks and bonds components in UHV chambers.

  • Analytical Instruments – Seals mass spectrometers, chromatographs and vacuum gauges.

  • Vacuum Component Bonding – Fixes electrodes, feedthroughs and insulators in vacuum.

  • Hermetic Sealing – Creates airtight seals for electronic packages and sensors.

  • Cryogenic Applications – Maintains seals at -45°C for cold traps and cryogenic systems.
