KR-470 is a silicone oligomer that has only epoxy groups as reactive functional groups. Acid anhydride, photo or thermal cationic curing is possible. Although it has the same curing mechanism as epoxy resin, it has the heat resistance and high Tg of siloxane. In addition, the type with cyclic siloxane structure has the advantage of minimal shrinkage during curing.

Key features
Water Resistance –Silicone resins, especially those having methyl groups, form films with excellent water repellency.
Electrical Insulation –high dielectric strength and low conductivity make silicone resin excellent for insulating coatings and electronic applications.
Weather Resistance – Strong resistance to UV, ozone, and oxidation ensures long-term durability outdoors without yellowing, chalking, or cracking.
Heat Resistance – Stable silicon–oxygen bonds allow continuous use at 200–300 °C, with short-term tolerance of even higher temperatures without decomposition.
Chemical Resistance –acids, bases, and many solvents are resisted, maintaining stability in chemically aggressive environments.
Electric insulation - Used as a base resin or coating to provide high dielectric strength, thermal resistance, and moisture protection for electronic components, transformers, and circuit boards.
Industrial Coatings – Applied as a heat-resistant binder or surface treatment on metal, glass, and ceramic substrates to improve durability, weatherability, and chemical resistance in harsh environments
