key features

  • Water Resistance - The silicone resin base, enriched with methyl groups, allows KE-4920-TUV to form films with excellent water repellency. Laboratory tests demonstrate that its coated surfaces exhibit less than 0.1% water absorption after 72 hours of immersion, maintaining both optical clarity and adhesion. This high hydrophobicity ensures superior protection of electronic assemblies against condensation and humidity, minimizing corrosion risks and improving operational reliability under moist or wet environments.

  • Electrical Insulation - KE-4920-TUV provides high dielectric strength and low electrical conductivity, making it ideal for coating electronic boards and insulating components. With a dielectric strength of 20 kV/mm, it effectively prevents electrical leakage or short-circuit failures in printed circuit boards. Surface resistivity tests confirm stable insulation even after exposure to 85°C and 85% relative humidity for 1000 hours, ensuring consistent electrical performance over time.

  • Weather Resistance - The product’s silicone backbone gives it exceptional resistance to UV radiation, ozone, and oxidative degradation. Accelerated weathering tests using QUV-B exposure for 1000 hours showed no yellowing, chalking, or surface cracking. Its chemical structure maintains flexibility and gloss retention, allowing for long-term outdoor or industrial use where environmental stressors would typically degrade other coatings.

  • Heat Resistance - KE-4920-TUV maintains performance in high-temperature conditions, withstanding continuous operation between 200°C and 300°C and short-term exposure up to 320°C without decomposition. Thermogravimetric analysis shows a weight loss of less than 1% at 250°C for 24 hours. This property makes it suitable for assemblies that experience frequent temperature fluctuations or localized heating.

  • Chemical Resistance - The coating resists acids, bases, and most industrial solvents, maintaining surface integrity and adhesion even in chemically aggressive environments. After immersion in 10% sulfuric acid and 10% sodium hydroxide for 72 hours, KE-4920-TUV displayed no blistering, discoloration, or reduction in dielectric strength. This ensures long-lasting chemical protection for electronic and electrical equipment exposed to harsh manufacturing or operational conditions.

application
  • Electronic & Electric - KE-4920-TUV is used for protecting circuit boards, sensors, and connectors in electronic assemblies. Its high dielectric insulation and strong adhesion prevent moisture ingress and contamination, enhancing operational life. Under environmental chamber testing at 85°C and 85% RH for 1000 hours, electronic components coated with KE-4920-TUV maintained stable resistance values and zero leakage current.

  • Industrial - In industrial control systems, KE-4920-TUV serves as a protective barrier for sensitive modules, extending their durability under mechanical and chemical stress. The coating maintains adhesion even after vibration and temperature cycling between -40°C and 150°C for 500 cycles.

  • PCB & Conformal Coatings - KE-4920-TUV is particularly suitable for PCB and conformal coating applications, offering smooth film formation and uniform coverage even on complex geometries. The integrated UV tracer simplifies post-application inspection under UV light, ensuring complete coverage verification. Its viscosity range (2–4 Pa·s) supports compatibility with automated spray, dip, and flow coating systems used in high-volume manufacturing.
