key features
Heat and Cold Resistance - HIVAC-G demonstrates a wide operational temperature range from -50°C to 200°C, allowing stable sealing and lubrication under extreme conditions. Thermal aging tests confirm that after continuous exposure at 200°C for 500 hours, viscosity change remains within ±10%. At low temperatures, the grease retains flexibility and adhesion, ensuring reliable sealing performance even during thermal cycling between hot and cold environments.
Low Volatility - HIVAC-G’s refined silicone base contains extremely low volatile compounds, which is crucial for vacuum applications. The total volatile content is below 0.3% (weight loss after 24 h at 150°C), ensuring minimal outgassing. This property enables the compound to support vacuum levels of 10^-6 Torr, preventing contamination of sensitive optical or electronic components.
Oxidation Stability - The grease exhibits superior oxidative resistance due to its refined silicone formulation. After 1000 hours of exposure at 150°C in an oxygen environment, oxidation-induced viscosity changes remain under 5%, with no detectable hardening or residue formation.
Moisture Resistance - HIVAC-G provides excellent water and moisture resistance. In controlled humidity testing at 95% RH and 40°C for 7 days, the product showed no phase separation, and water absorption remained below 0.1% by weight. This ensures the material’s reliability when exposed to humid or condensation-prone environments, preserving its sealing and dielectric properties even after long-term exposure.
Chemical Inertness - The silicone fluid base of HIVAC-G is chemically neutral and does not react with metals, ceramics, plastics, or elastomers. In a 72-hour corrosion test using ASTM D130 copper strips, it achieved a 1a rating. It is also resistant to most acids, alkalis, and solvents, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of materials used in high-vacuum assemblies and laboratory systems.
Lubrication Performance - The grease’s fine silica dispersion and optimized viscosity (specific gravity = 1.03) allow uniform film formation on contact surfaces. Friction coefficient measurements show a reduction of over 40% compared with untreated metal surfaces, significantly reducing wear and galling on sliding components. This contributes to extended component life and stable mechanical performance under repetitive operation or high load.
Vacuum Equipment - HIVAC-G is widely used in high-vacuum systems such as diffusion pumps, vacuum chambers, and optical instruments. Its extremely low vapor pressure (< 10^-6 Torr) minimizes contamination and leakage, enabling stable vacuum levels for extended periods. It also prevents metal seizure and ensures reliable gasket sealing under both static and dynamic conditions.
Automobile Components - HIVAC-G serves as a durable sealing and lubricating agent for automotive assemblies exposed to temperature fluctuations and high mechanical stress. Endurance testing at 150°C for 1000 hours confirmed no hardening or migration, ensuring reliable performance for O-rings, valves, and connectors in engine and braking systems.
Semiconductor Manufacturing - In semiconductor processing equipment, HIVAC-G prevents particle generation and contamination within vacuum deposition or etching systems. Its chemical inertness and low outgassing rate ensure clean-room compatibility, maintaining process stability and reducing downtime for equipment maintenance.
Electrical and Electronic Devices - HIVAC-G is applied to electrical insulators, connectors, and switchgear where both dielectric strength and sealing reliability are required. With a dielectric strength exceeding 20 kV/mm, it provides strong electrical insulation while resisting oxidation and surface degradation, ensuring long-term protection for precision components under fluctuating loads or environmental stress.
