Molykote D-96 Anti-Friction Coating is a water-based, air-curing dry film lubricant containing PTFE solid lubricants dispersed in an organic binder. It is developed for interior automotive and light industrial components where noise reduction, low friction, and clean appearance are required. After application and drying at room temperature, it forms a transparent bonded film suitable for plastic, painted, and leather contact surfaces.

• Excellent Anti-Squeak Performance - Molykote D-96 is engineered to reduce squeak and rattle in sliding and vibrating interfaces. The cured transparent film provides consistent friction control on plastic/plastic and plastic/metal surfaces, maintaining performance across a service temperature range of -40 °C to 150 °C.

  
  

• Water-Based System - The formulation is water-based and air-curing at approximately 23 °C, eliminating the need for high-temperature baking. The coating reaches touch-dry condition in about 10 minutes and full cure in approximately 120 minutes under standard ambient conditions.
