Key features
Heat resistance - Silicone fluids have outstanding stability against thermal oxidation.
Cold resistance - Silicone fluids withstand low temperatures well. Methylphenyl silicone fluid, formulated for low temperature applications, maintains flowability even at -65°C.
Viscosity stability - There is little change in viscosity over a wide temperature range.
Chemical stability - Silicone fluids are almost totally chemically inactive. At room temperature, they show almost no effects from alkali solutions (up to 10%) or acidic solutions (up to 30%).
Excellent thermal stability - High Thermal Resistance – Withstands elevated temperatures without degradation, making it suitable for long-term exposure in heat-intensive environments.
Automotive – Used in polishes, protectants, and damping fluids; provides high gloss, surface protection, and vibration control
Furniture – Acts as a surface enhancer and polish additive; improves shine, slip, and resistance to smudging
Metalworking – Functions as a lubricant and anti-stick agent in forming and cutting operations; reduces friction and tool wear
Cosmetics / Personal Care – Serves as a thick emollient in creams and styling products; imparts rich, cushiony feel and long-lasting conditioning
Energy – Used in valve lubricants and high-temperature sealants; offers thermal stability and chemical inertness
Electrical– Acts as a damping and dielectric fluid in sensitive instruments; controls motion and insulates against electrical discharge
Plastics & Elastomers – Functions as a processing aid and mold release agent; enhances flow and prevents sticking during molding
Chemical – Serves as a carrier fluid and formulation base in specialty chemical blends; stable under a wide range of pH and temperature
