KEY FEATURES

  • Heat Resistance - The dimethyl-type KF-96-1000cs remains stable at temperatures up to 150 °C, while the methylphenyl variant can withstand even higher temperatures of up to 250 °C, making it suitable for high-temperature applications without degradation.

  • Viscosity Stability - This grade exhibits minimal viscosity change with temperature fluctuations. KF-96 and specifically the KF-96H series are recognized for offering the highest viscosity stability available, ensuring consistent performance under varying thermal conditions.

  • Thermal Properties - KF-96-1000cs has low thermal conductivity, approximately 1/4 of water, and a low specific heat—about 1/3 of water—making it an effective thermal insulation medium in various industrial and electronic applications.

  • Chemical Stability - KF-96-1000cs is inert to most acids and alkalis at room temperature and demonstrates strong resistance to corrosion when in contact with metals such as aluminum and stainless steel, ensuring long-term durability in harsh chemical environments.

  • Low Surface Tension - With a surface tension significantly lower than water, it spreads rapidly over surfaces. This property makes it highly effective as a key ingredient in defoamers, release agents, and cosmetic formulations.

applications
  • Fuser Oil for Copiers - KF-96-1000cs is widely used in the fuser units of copiers in office electronic equipment. Its high viscosity (1000 centistokes) and excellent thermal stability maintain lubrication properties even in high-temperature environments, reducing friction between the fuser roller and paper, preventing paper jams, and extending the life of mechanical components.

  • Fire Retardation for Computer Housings - KF-96-1000cs can be applied as a flame retardant additive to the plastic or metal materials of computer and server housings. Its high flash point and high-temperature resistance inhibit the spread of combustion and form a protective barrier against oxygen in the event of a fire.

  • Transformer Oil - In transformers in the energy industry, KF-96-1000cs serves as an insulating and cooling medium. Its high dielectric strength and thermal conductivity effectively isolate internal high-voltage components and dissipate heat generated during operation.

  • Viscous Coupling Oil - In vehicle transmission systems, KF-96-1000cs serves as the transmission medium of viscous couplings, transmitting torque through shear forces. Its viscosity stability ensures consistent transmission efficiency across a wide range of temperatures (-40°C to 200°C), preventing slippage and overheating.

  • Breaker Insulation Oil - In circuit breakers used in power distribution, KF-96-1000cs acts as an insulating oil to prevent arcing. Its high breakdown voltage (typically exceeding 35kV) and self-healing properties ensure rapid recovery of insulation after an arc, ensuring equipment safety.
